YACO IN SCHOOLS

Meeting students where they already are.

YACO is active in five Edmonton public high schools, creating structured spaces for mentorship, leadership development, identity, and opportunity.

From Ross Sheppard to Eastglen, we are building relationships inside the schools where young people are already learning, leading, and becoming.

What We Do

Building confidence, identity, and futures.

YACO creates safe, structured, and culturally grounded spaces where youth feel seen, supported, and equipped to thrive.

Through mentorship, workshops, school partnerships, community engagement, and opportunity exposure, we help youth develop the confidence, discipline, and direction they need for long-term success.

Help Black youth lead with confidence, identity, and purpose.

The future belongs to young people who are equipped, connected, supported, and given room to grow. YACO exists to help build that future through mentorship, leadership development, community programming, and meaningful exposure to opportunity.
